The 11-month-old was moved to a hospice following a High Court administering.
He experienced a greatly uncommon hereditary condition causing dynamic mind harm and muscle shortcoming.
His folks, Connie Yates and Chris Gard, battled an extensive fight in court with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) to enable him to be taken to the US for treatment.
However, on Monday they dropped their fight in court after Prof Michio Hirano, the American neurologist who had offered to treat him, said it was past the point of no return for it to work.

In an announcement issued on Friday evening, Ms Yates stated: "Our lovely young man has gone, we are so pleased with you Charlie."
Head administrator Theresa May stated: "I am profoundly disheartened by the demise of Charlie Gard. My contemplations and petitions are with Charlie's folks Chris and Connie at this troublesome time."
GOSH said it sent its "genuine sympathies" to Charlie's folks and friends and family.
US Vice-President Mike Pence tweeted: "Disheartened to know about the death of Charlie Gard. Karen and I offer our petitions and sympathies to his cherishing guardians amid this troublesome time."
